Introduction of LUCIA

Lutheran Communications in Asia (LUCIA) is a fellowship of Lutheran communication agencies, departments or individuals in the Asia/Australasia regions. The members are involved in various forms of media like broadcast (radio, television & film, audio materials) print (book and magazine publishing, news and information service, the Internet) and folk media.

An elected coordination committee of five members is managing LUCIA. In addition to annual membership fees, it receives substantial funding from Lutheran World Federation since its conception in 1983, members from countries like Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Taiwan, and Thailand have explored other means of communication brought by the emerging technologies. LUCIA takes its members into new heights of effective and interactive communication.
